About
Origins
It's 2012, the peak of daisy crowns and galaxy print. And it was when I first signed up to Etsy with my store called 'Molik', a term of endearment towards someone you love in the Malaysian Kelantanese dialect.
I sold hand made daisy crowns made of faux flowers and painted galaxy print tops to my friends in high school. Molik even had a local market appearance on the side of my Girl Guides tea and scones tent.
I went to university and studied film and TV, ended up working as a Camera Assistant for 5 years and then early in 2025 I was diagnosed with Stage 3C Colon Cancer. I needed something to fill my time and the beading I'd been dabbling in took off so much that I have enough pieces to share!
Sustainability
Driven by reduce, reuse and recycle, I seek intentionally through vintage stores, opportunity shops and my own childhood collection to transfigure items as features in my work. Gaudy, overlooked, outdated jewellery given a second chance.
Commissions
I welcome working with beads, centrepieces or trinkets that you might own. I have done this with my friends and it's extremely rewarding for them to want to wear them again!
Please note that as this is the beginning of this adventure, I will limit my reach to Australian shipping only. Thank you for your understanding.
Molik acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
